If you are new to the art of collage this is a great place to start! The words ‘collage’ and ‘montage’ go hand in hand. Both words attributing a technique of putting together various materials to create a single work of art.
Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque were both pioneers in the creation of collage which caused a revolutionary art style in the 20th century. Picasso and Braque are said to be the ones who defined it using the French word “coller” meaning to glue or stick together. They were also mixed media artists in the way that they used different art mediums to complete their works.
Mixed media art uses various art mediums to create art. In this class we are mixing mediums with acrylic inks, watercolors, collage, pens, pencils, gold leaf, etc. to create eclectic artworks. So let’s get to it already!
