OIL PAINT

Use the oil paints that you have! I often use Student Grade paints for the under layers and High quality paint for the upper layers. Even though it sometimes seems that you scrape more paint of than you put on, it is recommended to use high quality paints for their translucency and vibrant colors.

If you just starting out in Oil paint, these are recommended Oil colors:

Bowl scraper and/or Catalyst Wedge

I can not find the Messermeister bowl scraper in Europe, I have tried other ones but they are either too flexible or too rigid. I have painted for 2 years with the Catalyst wedge which works fine.
