Journal Lesson

Art journaling to build wings: Embrace the edge, make your mark, and soar.

Having courage to jump off the edge and the strength, motivation and perseverance to build your wings as you fall is no easy feat.  The leap is the inciting force that point of no return, you are in the game. And even though the fall is scary you can use that to fuel your motivation to build your wings, to practice, and gain the skills you need to soar and/or land.

I find this relates to many areas of life. Standing on the edge unsure whether to take the next step. A safe place to experiment with the edge is through creativity. The blank page and canvas can be a scary place, and jumping off the edge, making your mark, is a vulnerable place to be. Showing up to your own inner work and self-expression is empowering and learning to stay curious and present with process are the feathers you need to soar. I invite you to pick your medium and make your mark, build your wings at the blank canvas and take flight.

Here is an art journaling exercise to help you on your way.
