Fabric of Time

Transform photographs into whimsical mixed media fabric art by combining them with various artistic tools and techniques.

Much of my art begins with photographs…moments of fleeting time, forever captured and stilled that call out to my imagination. These images ignite my creativity and provide beginnings for new visual stories. Now, these stories might not be (and probably aren’t!) how the subjects of the photographs envisioned their stories being told, but I like to think they would have enjoyed my interpretations. Combining these images with fabric, paint, pen, pencil, wax and other artistic tools gives them a new lease on life and a way to provide enjoyment for a new audience. Let’s release these photographs from the dusty drawers and musty boxes they have been relegated to and create whimsical and fantastical pieces of mixed media fabric art!
