The Raven's Song

Delve into the mysterious allure and fascinating behaviors of ravens, crows, and blackbirds.

Ravens and Crows and blackbirds in general have always held a huge fascination for me. Looking into their eyes, watching their posture, seeing how they can judge the speed of approaching cars, listening to them talk to each other, feeling that “I know much that is hidden” temperament that comes off them in waves - how can they not appear magical? While  they have been much maligned historically in general (like cats) for their intelligence and association with the feminine leaning traits of nature religions, earth magics and ancient archetypes, they are also considered pests to farmers, and indeed they can wreak havoc and create destruction and damage to both stock and crops - as much as I adore them, my mother who is from a sheep farming family, detests them. Polarizing creatures!
