I am truly honored and can think of nothing more thrilling than to be immersed in the magical world of stories and art with all of you! I am so excited to share my ideas and methods and I hope you enjoy the class as much as I have while creating it for you.
In a state of utter excitement I started things off early in the Facebook Group by asking you to introduce yourselves using childhood photos. Then of course I wanted to meet your animals! Dogs, cats, birds (including chickens) and gerbils all came forth and said hello to the group. I laughed quite a lot and shed a few tears as well. By then I was hooked on wanting to know more so I asked you to introduce us to the place where you feel most alive. The outcome of all of this sharing is that we have inadvertently written the introduction to our own Gathering House story.
I deeply value the symbolic meaning of my Gathering House and I know we will bring the very best of what it stands for into our little classroom. Everyone in this room is learning including me! We all need encouragement to do our best. We all need to stretch ourselves to the edge of our comfort zone to learn. We all can expect to feel nervous, to laugh and to have fun!
