Working with PaperClay, join us in creating a special vessel.

I am a painter but working with PaperClay has become a big part of my practice and it brings me so much joy and I’m thrilled to be sharing some clay with you on StudioWorks. Thank you for having me here.

I love being a guest on Studioworks. It’s always so special for me and when Ivy asked me to do something that included a vessel, I was over the moon.

I had the perfect idea in mind.

  • Paper Clay/Air drying Clay of your choice - I use Das/Jovi - please feel free to use other clays of your choice.
  • Sculpting Tools of your choice - I use just one
  • Rubber Stamps / Indian wood carved stamps - optional
  • Acrylic Paints / Paint brushes of your choice  - See below
  • Ephemera - papers/napkins etc.
  • Pliers if you are using wires.

  • Light Permanent Red, Rose
  • Titanium White, Warm Grey
  • Dark Green & Sap Green
  • Paynes Grey & Light Kings blue

Brushes

  • System 3 Daler Rowney #4-12 Filbert
  • Variety of /0 brushes for tiny details.
