I’ve created this special, tutorial simply because I had so much fun creating this portrait and I wanted to share it with you!

This time lapse video tutorial details my process of working on toned paper with a focus on lights and darks. It includes lots of helpful tips for creating your own toned paper portrait!

*essential for this class

Toned paper, color of your choice but I used a simple 5" x 7" Earthbound Sketchbook by Daler & Rowney
Brush* - (I used a Princeton Select Brush - Round Blender #6
Sharpie Water Based Paint Pen in White (Medium tip)
General's Sketch & Wash Pencil #588 or a Charcoal Pencil
Mechanical Pencil - any one will do but I used a Bic 0.7 HB # 2
Sakura Jellyroll Pen 08 in White
White colored pencil - I used a Derwent Artists Pencil in Chinese White
