Explore the free-flowing art process in this class, moving intuitively between journal and canvas without constraints.

For this class, I really wanted to do something different! What would I like to show next? After some thinking, I decided on doing something that I have wanted to do for a long time but I have not dared to.

When I paint on my own in my studio, I very seldom have a picture in my head of what I am going to do. I most often start to work in my art journal to find inspiration. When I find my flow, I move over to paint on my canvas. I work back and forth between the canvas and the journal and as soon as I get stuck on the canvas, I move back to the journal. In the journal, I can explore and create totally free from any requirements to perform or to achieve a result. I can just feel, find and explore colors, marks and images. I work intuitively and I rarely get stuck or blocked when working in this way.

My process is very unstructured, tactile and yes, a little messy too! I have demonstrated this style of working in some of my art journaling classes, where I jump from page to page without finishing the pages and with no real structure, but I have never shown my intuitive process when working on a canvas… until now :)

So here we go. This class is all about the beauty of process!
