Faces of Flow

Experience the thrill of online art classes where we embrace challenges and explore the transformative process of pushing creative boundaries.

When they go live and I finally get to share my passion with you!

It is always such a great journey and exciting challenge for me to put them together. When I teach my live workshops I interact with and react and adapt to the feeling and needs of my students. Putting together a class without interacting with the students is challenging… and I do love challenges! We will connect in a different way online and I can't wait!

I am so happy that this transformation took place and that I started to trust the process and be brave enough to let my paintings get into “the ugly” stage without putting me off. What I found was that if I continued, even though I hated the look of it, I could push through and end up with something that I really liked and the more I practiced, the braver I got and the more I pushed the boundaries and the more I loved it.

  • A couple of pieces of Mixed Media paper, cardboard and paper bags
  • An assortment of scraps of papers from personal collections, old magazines, scrapbook paper etc. for collage
  • A couple of pieces of scrap fabric, old rags, string and lace
  • Acrylic matte medium  (I used Liquitex Matte Medium as glue and Winsor & Newton Matte Gel for the transfer)
  • A laser printed face on normal copy paper
  • Acrylic Paints (I used heavy body Acrylics in the colors of: Black, White, Titan Buff and Van Dyke. The rest of the colors, I use Golden Fluid but any acrylic paint will do. The transparent effect that I work with is easier to achieve with a Fluid acrylic.)
  • Black Gesso (Black acrylic paint will do fine!)
  • A couple of different size brushes, from very thin to wide and flat
  • A hard tool, such as Palette knife or an old credit card to move paint and glue
  • Stamps, stencils, skewers and other mark making tools
  • A couple of pencils, Black and White Stabilo All, Aquarellable.
  • An oil pastel (or carbon paper for the transfer)
  • White chalk pastel
  • Water spray bottle, rags and a pair of Scissors
  • A sewing machine and/or a thick needle and thread
