Explore iPad art: transform photos into unique compositions with innovative apps in our digital workshop.
Join me for an exciting iPad art workshop where I'll show you how to transform photos into captivating compositions using iPad apps. With over 20 years in Photoshop and digital art, I turned to iPad art out of necessity and fell in love with its versatility. This class focuses on blending traditional techniques with digital enhancements to create unique artworks.
We'll use apps like Superimpose and Leonardo to layer and edit images, creating abstract figures and intricate digital compositions. Inspired by Ivy Newport’s class, we'll adapt these methods for the iPad, offering a clean, portable way to create art anywhere.
In Figurescapes, we'll explore three methods to start abstract figures, culminating in a series of projects that blend these figures with digital imagery. Each session is designed to build your skills and confidence in digital art.
Check out the resource section for all images, stock photos, and links used in our projects. This class is perfect for anyone eager to explore the potential of their iPad as a powerful artistic tool.

I use a Canon Pixma Pro-100 wide format printer. It will print up to 13” x 19”. It has 8 archival dye based ink cartridges, 2 cyan, 2 magenta, 1 yellow, 2 gray, 1 black. It is very large and takes up a lot of space. Prints are amazing! I love this printer.
Papers I use to print from home:
I use papers from Red River Paper: www.redriverpaper.com. They have a wide variety of papers and cards for many different printers. They also have color profiles for their papers that can be downloaded so that you can achieve the best printing results. There are lots of tutorials and instructions available on their website.
